Utkarsh Sen: Robotic star of Madhyapradesh

Born in 2004 and raised in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, Utkarsh Sen was always drawn to innovation. Despite choosing Arts after high school, his self‑driven passion for technology led him to ace the 2025 IISER‑IAT with an impressive All‑India Rank 28, scoring 225/240—all without coaching  .

Now based between Bangalore and Delhi, Utkarsh balances dual roles:Chief Programming Officer at a leading Bangalore tech firm and Machine‑Analysis Scientist in Delhi, seamlessly bridging AI research and practical engineering  .

At just 20 he engineered an AI‑powered agricultural robot capable of sowing, weeding, irrigation, spraying, and harvesting. Powered by solar‑battery hybrid systems and voice‑commanded in Hindi/Bundelkhandi, *it earned national acclaim and a spot representing India at the VEXU Robotics Championship in the U.S.—as the sole Indian finalist*.

An all‑rounder, Utkarsh is also an international athlete: he clinched two gold medals for India in athletics in 2022. This sporting excellence earned him a Postal Assistant position in Bhopal’s Post Office under the sports quota

His accolades include the Delhi Government’s Young Entrepreneur Award, recognizing his leadership in robotics and agritech  .
