MentorX4u Extends ₹10 Lakh Career Support to Students in Interior Odisha

Initiative focuses on SC/ST and financially disadvantaged graduates; over 200 students secure jobs across industries

Bhubaneswar, October 1, 2026: Career guidance and employment platform MentorX4u has extended career support worth ₹10 lakh in credits to graduate students from interior regions of Odisha over the past eight months, with a particular focus on SC/ST students and graduates from financially weaker families.

The initiative was launched with the objective of improving access to career counselling, mentorship and job-search opportunities for students who often face financial and geographical barriers in accessing professional career services.

According to MentorX4u, the initiative has so far supported students across several districts of Odisha, providing them access to career guidance and employment-related services through its digital platform and partner network.

Over 200 students placed

The initiative has also resulted in employment opportunities for graduates, with more than 200 students securing jobs across different industries during the period.

The students have been connected with employment opportunities through MentorX4u's network of employers, training partners and institutions. The platform supports students in areas including career selection, mentorship, employability preparation, job discovery and connecting with relevant opportunities.

For graduates from smaller towns and interior districts, access to industry professionals and structured career guidance can often be limited. MentorX4u said its initiative is aimed at reducing this gap by bringing these services to students through a combination of technology and local outreach.

Focus on students from underserved communities

A significant part of the initiative has been directed towards SC/ST graduates and students from lower-income households, who may find it difficult to pay for professional career counselling or mentorship.

The ₹10 lakh support has been provided in the form of credits that students can use for career-related assistance through the MentorX4u ecosystem.

"Students should not lose an opportunity simply because they cannot afford professional career guidance. We wanted to create a mechanism where financial limitations do not prevent a graduate from seeking the right advice or exploring employment opportunities," said Tusar Ranjan Mahapatro, Founder and CEO of RisoApp India Pvt. "Odisha has a large pool of talented young people, including in its interior districts. The challenge is often connecting that talent with the right guidance, mentors and employers. Our focus is to help build that bridge," he added.

Connecting graduates with industry

MentorX4u is building a career platform that connects students, mentors, training institutions and employers. The platform provides career guidance and mentorship while also helping students discover employment opportunities.

The company said that its experience in the last eight months has reinforced the need for stronger connections between educational institutions and industry, particularly for students outside major urban centres.

The platform is also working with colleges, training organisations and industry partners to expand access to career and employment opportunities for graduates.

Expanding reach across Odisha

MentorX4u plans to expand its outreach to more colleges and students across Odisha, particularly in smaller cities and rural and semi-urban areas.

The company intends to work with educational institutions, mentors, training providers and employers to create a wider employment ecosystem for graduates.

The initiative comes at a time when graduates across smaller towns are increasingly seeking industry exposure, professional guidance and direct access to employers.

With ₹10 lakh worth of career support extended and more than 200 students placed in different industries in eight months, MentorX4u said it will continue focusing on improving access to career guidance and employment opportunities for students who have traditionally had fewer resources and networks available to them.
