Rising Star Shreyash Tayade Captivates Audiences With Short Film “Phone Is My Life” and Upcoming Projects
Akola, Maharashtra — In an era when audiences are constantly seeking fresh and relatable content, a young talent from Maharashtra is making waves. Shreyash Tayade, an emerging actor from Telhara, has caught attention with his recent short film “Phone Is My Life,” a story that reflects the digital realities of everyday life in 2021. The film has not only resonated with audiences in India but has also found appreciation in countries like New York, Germany, Thailand, Pakistan, and Nepal.
Born on August 18, 2001, in Ajangaon Surji (Amravati), Shreyash had a humble beginning. As a child, he spent his days playing kancha, hockey, and skating. Known by his nickname “Shiva,” he was full of life and humor, but behind the playfulness was a dream—acting.
Despite facing skepticism from relatives and discouragement from others, Shreyash pushed forward. “His journey has never been easy,” says his manager Gaurav Tikade. “People mocked his dreams, but he never lost hope.” Today, the once silent child is now the face of multiple impactful short films and television roles.
Shreyash has worked in over 10 short films, with standout performances in “Maut: Achaanak Haadsa”, “Katra: The Last Drop”, and “Phone Is My Life.” In Katra, where he played the role of a farmer named Hari, his emotional portrayal brought attention to the hardships faced by Indian farmers, touching on issues like global warming, water conservation, and environmental awareness.
His television work includes roles in popular crime dramas Savdhaan India and Crime Patrol, as well as the unreleased film Majhi Aai (2017)—his very first project.
Now, fans eagerly await his upcoming ventures. In June 2024, Shreyash will be seen in the romantic song “Ek Mulakat”, followed by a fantasy drama titled “Wifi Waala Jinn” scheduled to release in June 2025. He also has projects like “Upwas” and “Vadapav” in the pipeline.
Shreyash completed his education at Sahakar Vidya Mandir, Buldhana, a boarding school, and later pursued D Pharmacy and B Pharmacy. But acting remained his true calling.
A passionate traveler and animal lover, Shreyash had a pet dog named Julie, who also appeared in Phone Is My Life and passed away in 2022. He now shares his life with Raghu, a charming dog frequently featured on his Instagram (@shreyash_tayade_) and LinkedIn profiles.
