PTAHA Strengthens India's Travel & Hospitality Industry with a Transparent, Member-Centric Approach

India: The Professional Travel Agents and Hotels Association (PTAHA), a Section 8 not-for-profit organization, proudly announces its commitment to building a stronger, safer and more collaborative ecosystem for India's travel, tourism and hospitality industry. Established with the vision of bringing travel agents, hotels, tour operators, destination management companies and other tourism stakeholders under one professional platform, PTAHA is dedicated to promoting ethical business practices, industry growth and meaningful networking opportunities.

The association is led by its Founding Member, Mr. Budhadev Rishi Deepak, along with fellow founding members Mr. Suresh Nair, Mr. Aman Soni, Mr. Pradeep Rathor, Mr. Mohit Mahajan, and Mr. Vikram Narula. Together, the founding team brings extensive industry experience and a shared commitment to creating an association that works solely for the welfare and advancement of its members.

As a registered Section 8 organization, PTAHA operates on a not-for-profit model, ensuring that its initiatives remain focused on member development rather than commercial gain. The association aims to provide a trusted platform where businesses can collaborate, grow and succeed together.

PTAHA offers a wide range of member benefits, including Familiarization (FAM) Trips, educational tours, online learning programs, WhatsApp marketing groups, networking opportunities, promotional campaigns and industry events. These initiatives are designed to enhance professional knowledge, increase business visibility and create valuable business connections across India.

One of PTAHA's most distinctive strengths is its commitment to business promotion. Every member's company logo will be prominently displayed at trade exhibitions and tourism events where PTAHA participates. Members will also have the opportunity to distribute their business cards and promotional material through the association's exhibition booths, even if they are unable to attend the event personally. In addition, members will receive visitor databases generated from these exhibitions, enabling them to build new business relationships and expand their market reach.

To encourage members to confidently conduct business within the association, PTAHA has introduced a unique Third-Party Fraud Protection Policy of up to ₹5 lakh, subject to the association's policies, verification process and applicable terms and conditions. This initiative reflects PTAHA's commitment to creating a trusted and secure business environment where members can collaborate with confidence.

Further strengthening member support, PTAHA also intends to facilitate bank guarantee assistance of up to ₹5 lakh for a period of 15 days for eligible industry-related transactions. This facility is designed to help members secure bookings, inventory and business commitments while providing additional time to complete payment formalities. The guarantee will automatically lapse after the specified period, after which the association shall bear no responsibility for the transaction.

PTAHA is structured through North, South, East, West and Central Zones, each managed by dedicated Zonal Officers. All zones will function under the supervision of the National Committee, ensuring consistent governance and effective coordination throughout the country.

The association will also establish a dedicated Grievance Cell, led by an experienced Senior Advisory Team, to facilitate timely and fair resolution of member concerns while promoting ethical business practices within the industry.

Transparency remains one of PTAHA's core values. The association is committed to conducting open and transparent elections, sharing audit reports with members, and providing legitimate organizational information and documents within 24 hours whenever reasonably possible and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

PTAHA also proudly emphasizes that it is a completely non-political organization. The association does not align itself with any political ideology or party, allowing it to remain focused exclusively on the interests and development of the travel and hospitality industry.

Speaking on the vision of the association, Founding Member Mr. Budhadev Rishi Deepak said, “PTAHA has been established to create an association where every member receives genuine value, equal opportunity and complete transparency. Our mission is to unite the industry under one trusted platform that promotes business growth, protects members and encourages ethical collaboration. Together, we can build a stronger future for India's travel and hospitality sector.”

PTAHA invites travel professionals, hotels, tour operators and tourism stakeholders from across India to become part of this growing national movement and contribute towards building a more connected, transparent and prosperous travel industry.
