An exclusive community initiative to connect tea lovers and promote fine Indian teas
Bengaluru, October 2025: The Indian School of Tea (IST) proudly announces the launch of its pioneering community initiative — Tea Club by IST, with its first three city chapters in Bengaluru, Coimbatore, and Cochin.
The inaugural chapters are:
- Tea Circle (Bengaluru), led by Chinmay Misra
- Kovai Tea Club (Coimbatore), led by V.S. Mithun Ram
- Art of Tea (Cochin), led by Shyam Prakash
The Tea Club by IST is a first-of-its-kind platform dedicated to knowledge sharing, consumer engagement, and appreciation of Indian specialty and orthodox teas. Each chapter, led by IST Alumni, will host monthly knowledge-sharing and interactive events designed to help people connect with Indian tea in creative, educational, and enjoyable ways.
This initiative seeks to build a national network of tea enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and professionals who will champion India’s finest orthodox and specialty teas through workshops, immersive experiences, and cultural connections.
“The Tea Club by IST is where tea education meets culture and connection. We want every city to have its own tea community that celebrates Indian tea — not just as a beverage, but as a story of craft, culture, and pride,” said Susmita Das Gupta, Tea Artist & Founder, Indian School of Tea.
The Indian School of Tea also welcomes sponsorship and support from Indian orthodox tea gardens and brands who share its mission of promoting authentic, high-quality Indian teas and building stronger consumer engagement to enhance awareness and consumption.
