She later relocated to Kolkata with her family, where she pursued her education at Mahadevi Birla World Academy and Shri Shikshayatan College. She shares a close familial bond with her sister, Chetna Sharma.

Jaya Kishori Ji’s spiritual journey began early. At the tender age of nine, she started singing devotional songs and hymns. Under the guidance of her spiritual mentor, Guruji Govind Ram Mishra, she learned to recite revered scriptures such as the Sundarkand Path and Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. Jaya Kishori Ji’s work has received extensive recognition over the years. In 2016, she received the Adarsh Yuva Adhyatmik Guru Award from RSS Chief Shri Mohan Bhagwat. She has also been honoured with the Samaj Ratan Award by Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur, and the Sanskar Artist of the Year (2013–14) by Sanskar Channel. In 2021, her influence extended beyond religious circles, winning Iconic Woman Motivational Speaker of the Year, Best Spiritual Influencer at the Lokmat Digital Influencer Awards, and Best Motivational Speaker on Global Digital Detox Day. Continuing this upward trajectory, in 2022 she received the Most Inspirational Woman of the Year (Spiritual) at the Global Excellence Awards. A significant national honour came on 8 March 2024, when she received the National Creators Award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
