AEO and GEO is going to be big in India, says Shubham Agrawal of Taptwice Media

NEW DELHI — February 18, 2026 — As the way people find brands online changes fast, Taptwice Media has launched new services for AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). These services are designed for the new era where people get direct answers from AI tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini instead of just clicking on website links.

Taptwice Media is already being recognized as one of the top AEO agencies in India, with a growing list of foreign clients who are seeing great results. The agency’s strategy is highly specialized: for every business niche, they identify exactly which platforms AI engines trust most as reliable sources. “We don’t just put content anywhere,” says Shubham Agrawal, founder of Taptwice Media. “We find where the ‘Answer Engines’ are looking and ensure our clients are mentioned across that entire spectrum of sources.”

Agrawal emphasized that focusing on AI will be the main reason some brands stay ahead in the coming years. “The way we do things has changed. It is not just about being on a list anymore; it is about being the actual answer the AI gives to a user,” he said during the launch. Comparing it to the past, Agrawal warned, “Businesses that don’t move toward AI today will end up like those who ignored Google and Social Media years ago—they will be left behind by new brands that used these platforms to get more customers.”

Other major news related to AI in India

The rest of the Indian tech world is also busy today with the India AI Impact Summit 2026 happening in Delhi. Google CEO Sundar Pichai landed in the city today to meet PM Modi and talk about how AI can help India grow by 2047. At the same time, India set a new Guinness World Record today after more than 2.5 lakh students took an online pledge to use AI in a safe and honest way within just 24 hours.

To help new companies grow, the government announced that it will bring in 50,000 more AI chips (GPUs) in the next six months. These will be rented out to Indian startups for a very low price of ₹65 per hour so they can build their own technology. Big money is also coming in from other places; for example, Qualcomm started a new $150 million fund for Indian AI startups, and a company called Neysa raised $1.2 billion to build more AI data centers in the country. Because so many people want to see the latest technology, the big AI Expo in Delhi has been extended until Saturday, February 21. However, there was a small problem today when Galgotias University was asked to leave the exhibition. This happened because a “robot dog” they showed was found to be a ready-made model from China instead of something they built themselves. Even with this, the mood remains very positive as India tries to become a world leader in using AI for health, farming, and local languages.
